Do you have one of those jobs that you keep meaning to get around to doing but somehow it always falls off the end of your To-Do list? Well I have one, and it’s quite a big one, in fact, I’m a little bit ashamed to admit it…

…I never got our wedding photos printed off – they’ve lived on a memory stick in my desk drawer since the wedding photographer sent them to us…and that was almost 5 years ago

Getting them made into some canvas prints or turned into a photo book was always something I planned to do I just never managed to get around to it, until now!

The other week the lovely team at My-Picture reached out to me and asked if I’d like to try out some of their products, so of course, I jumped at the chance and took this as my sign to finally do something with the wedding photos.

Who are My-Picture.co.uk

My-Picture.co.uk are an online print company that can take your photos and turn them into any number of amazing personalised products. They are one of the leading online shops for customised photo products and produces thousands of unique items every day – from canvas prints and MIXPIX photo tiles, through cosy photo blankets and cushions, to personalised photo books.

Is My-Picture.co.uk easy to use?

Super easy! All you need to do is select a product from their range, you’ll then be prompted to upload some photos which you can then scale to fit the product you’ve chosen. If you choose to do a photo book then you will go to their photobook editor (which is super easy to use!) and you can arrange the layout, any text you want to add as well as frames and effects.

Is it expensive?

Not at all, in fact, I was surprised at just how good the prices were! I had a look around at some other sites just to get a feel for what prices are like generally and My-Picture.co.uk were coming up cheapest for the items I was wanting to make.

Creating a Wedding PhotoBook

Another reason that I’ve put off doing anything with our wedding photos was that I thought it was going to be difficult to do but I couldn’t have been more wrong. My-Picture.co.uk has a fab photo book creator tool, all I had to do was upload the images I wanted to use and drag them into place – they had an option to autofill the pages too which I think I’d use if I was doing something like holiday photos but because our wedding was actually spread across two days I wanted to do the photos in chronological order.

The print quality of the finished product is amazing! Bit of Musha HQ Trivia for you, Dean actually used to be a print finisher when we first met so he has a bit of a critical eye when looking at printed products and he was very impressed with the quality of the photo book. The weight of the paper used for the pages is great and they have a lovely glossy look to them, the print goes right up to the edges and the colours are matched perfectly to the photo originals.

Personalised Cushion

If you’ve been around here a while then you’ll know that one of my big passions is gardening, at the moment I have a particular love for my Hebe plants (they have such lovely colours!) so I thought, why not get a pic of my favourite Hebe printed on a cushion! The print on this is so crisp and the colours are spot on to the original photo, it’s printed on a satin type material and it even comes with the cushion insert. The finish on it is lovely, all the seams are good and strong and it’s now the cushion that I use on my computer chair.

Facemasks

I didn’t go out much during the lockdowns so I got away with only having 2/3 masks laying around to take out with me but now that everything is getting a bit more back to normal I have realised I do no have enough masks at all. I decided to order 2 neoprene masks and 2 Oeko-Tex masks using some of the custom prints that the site offered…of course I went for the plant-y ones! The masks are great and perfect for keeping in random places, I’ve got the neoprene ones folded up in my coat and jacket pockets and the Oekeo-Tex ones live in my handbag and the other in the car glove compartment.

I’m so pleased with all the items I ordered from My-Picture.co.uk and will definitely be using them again. I love the idea of having a photobook made as a recap of each year (this would be great for when we have kids, how nice would it be to have a photo book documenting every year of your life), we take so many photos but don’t think to go back and actually look at them so getting into the habit of regularly making a photo book would be a great remedy to this!
