Have you ever found a company that aligns so well with your own personal ethos that you can’t believe you didn’t find them sooner? Well that’s what’s I’ve found with The Secret Gardening Club!
In the past I’ve had bad experiences with online plant retailers, (plants don’t get dispatched when they are supposed to be or they all turn up dead and damaged) and after sharing my frustration with my social media followers a lot of them also said they struggled to find a decent online plant retailer that sends what they say they will, in good condition and for a fair price.
I decided to do some asking around in some big FB gardening groups and asked peoples favourite suppliers for great value plants and The Secret Gardening Club came up a lot.
So off I went to go and have a look at their website and I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of them before!
All the plants we sell are of the highest quality. They are priced as they are simply because we are able to take the over supply from the growers and pass on the considerable savings to you!
I LOVE the fact that their supply of plants are the overstocked plants from suppliers/nurseries.
I used to work at Homebase (I was part of their Garden Academy and did some of my training with Adam Frost!) and one of the main gripes I had was how much plant stock got chucked away or died before it even got to us because it had been over ordered by head office, so the fact that they ‘rescue’ these plants and pass them on to customers with a discount is something I can really get on board with!
Filling a garden with plants can be an expensive hobby, it’s actually been one of the large chunks of our budget whilst doing our Garden Makeover, and if you’ve been a follower for a while you’ll know that I wont share brands that I don’t think give good value for money. There are a lot of online plant retailers that share social media posts showing how cheap they are and I’ve got sucked into buying from them before and every single time I have either not received my items or got something that was dead or diseased (and there is not way I’m going to risk contaminating the rest of my plants with a fungus or virus!) As you can see from my ‘Horti Haul’ this is not the case at all with The Secret Gardening Club, the plants they stock and deliver are amazing quality
Another thing I like about their business model is the fact that stock is always changing and its not just your average selection of plants, I’ve been able to find some of the more unique and rare varieties of plants I’ve been looking for on the website which I have been so pleased about.
If you want to check out The Secret Gardening Club then go to their website and have a browse and make sure to sign up for their newsletter as they’ll send you an email as soon as a new selection of plants come in, also have a look at their FB page as they share lots of really good gardening articles
